Match score

A match score reflects how closely a candidate's profile fits a specific search query, produced by comparing the meaning of the query against the meaning of the profile and then reranking the closest results for a more careful ordering.

The important design question for any platform is what the score can and can't be influenced by. On Traceroster, a match score is honest: every recruiter running the same search against the same candidates sees the same ranking. There's no paid tier that moves a profile up regardless of actual fit — the score reflects fit, full stop.

See semantic matching and how AI job matching works for how a score gets computed.
