Hidden talent pool

A hidden talent pool is made up of qualified candidates who don't surface in traditional searches — not because they lack the right experience, but because they describe it differently than a recruiter's keyword list expects, or because they aren't actively posting on job boards at all. A strong passive candidate with real, relevant experience can be completely invisible to a rigid boolean search.

Semantic, meaning-based search shrinks this problem by matching on what someone's experience actually is rather than which exact words they used to describe it — surfacing people a keyword filter would have missed entirely.
